Description
This five-building scheme is set within the Cotswolds National Landscape, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The development comprises the extension and remodelling of an existing farmhouse, the construction of a two-storey timber-framed annex, and the sensitive conversion of an original cattle shed into living accommodation. It also includes a new agricultural-style steel-framed garage with offices.
By rethinking the site’s topography, the landscaping scheme connects the buildings and strengthens their connection to the surrounding countryside. The architectural detailing and materiality reference the local vernacular of the Cotswolds AONB.
